Welcome to ACES Training Center! We're excited to have you join us and begin your BJJ journey. Here's what you can expect on your first day:
Welcoming Environment: Our academy has a friendly and welcoming environment. You'll be greeted by our instructor and fellow students who will introduce themselves and make you feel at ease. Feel free to introduce yourself to everyone.
Introduction and Orientation: Our instructor will give you a brief introduction to BJJ, its principles, and techniques. You'll also receive an orientation to our academy, the classes, and the rules & etiquette which you will find here.
Safety Briefing: Safety is our top priority in BJJ. You'll be given a safety briefing, including how to properly warm up, stretch, and protect yourself and your training partner during training.
Basic Techniques: You'll learn some basic techniques such as the guard, mount, side control, and submissions. These are fundamental positions and techniques that will form the foundation of your BJJ journey.
Drilling and Rolling: You'll spend some time drilling the techniques you've learned with a partner. Later in the class, you'll have the opportunity to "roll" with another student. Rolling is similar to sparring and involves applying the techniques you've learned in a live, but controlled, environment.
Physical Demands: BJJ is a physically demanding sport, and you'll likely feel challenged during your first class. Don't worry if you're not able to keep up with the more experienced students, as you'll gradually build up your stamina and strength over time.
We're excited to have you join our BJJ program and look forward to helping you achieve your goals. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask our instructor or any of our staff members.
